ELIGIBILITY

The Golden Trumpet Awards are open to:

  • All public relations and communications practitioners, self-employed or retained by organizations doing business within 500 miles of Chicago
  • Professionals outside of this geographic area who handle communications assignments for entities within the Chicagoland Area

ELIGIBILITY PERIOD

Entries being entered must have been conducted between January 1 and December 31, 2016. Activities initiated prior to January 1, 2016 with results extending into 2016 are eligible.

DEADLINES

All entries must be finalized and submitted online prior to 5 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2017 . Late entries may be submitted between 5:01 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2017 through 5 p.m. on Friday, March, 10, 2017. PLEASE NOTE: A late fee per entry will apply for submissions during this period.

CATEGORIES

There are 40 entry categories. Business, government, trade association and non-profit programs may be entered in any appropriate category. A full program may be entered in only one category. Individual components of any full program may also be entered in another category. Judges reserve the right to select a more appropriate category.
 

ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS

Please follow the instructions for your online entry carefully. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. For step-by-step instructions, visit the online entry process page. This year, PCC will accept paperless online entries only. For categories 22-25, hard copy support materials may be submitted via mail. Please upload a PDF or JPEG of the piece that is being mailed and note in the comments section that you are mailing an item (please mail two copies of each item). Items must arrive within one week of the submission deadline.

DISQUALIFICATION

Entries failing to follow the guidelines and requirements outlines in the Call for Entries will be disqualified.  Absolutely no refunds will be given

ARE MULTILINGUAL CAMPAIGNS WELCOME?

PCC encourages the submission of multilingual campaigns. Accompanying English translations are required.
