Best New Product

Definition of Category:

The CEDIA Best New Product competition is open to products that have been released and are shipping between October 31, 2015 and September 30, 2016. The Shipping Verification Form is required with entry submission.  Product must be fully shipping by September 30, 2016 (cannot be in beta shipping). Products that have been entered in the Best New Product category in previous years cannot be entered into this category again unless a new version of the product has been released. Judges will determine if the product has had a significant change to be qualified as a new version.

• One photo showing the front of the product
• One photo showing the back of the product
• Product Demo Video (If possible)

Selection Considerations:

Judges will consider the following during the decision-making process:

• Innovative Technology
• Value to the Technician
• Value to the Business
• Enhances the Client's Lifestyle

Product Hall of Fame

Definition of Category:

The CEDIA Product Hall of Fame honors products that have had a significant positive impact on CEDIA members. To be considered, products must have entered the market a minimum of 7 years ago. This award may not be given annually.  

Photo/Videos:

All photos must be of the original version of the product, not upgraded or current versions

• One photo showing the back of the product
• Product Demo Video (If Possible)

Selection Considerations:

Judges will consider the following during the decision-making process:

• Did this product create a new market for the industry?
• Did this product address a specific need for the industry?
• Was this product the inspiration for future products?
• Did this product have a positive impact on the industry?
• Did this product have longevity in the industry?
