  • What are the Big Apple Awards?

    It is a recognized awards competition designed to and honor the exceptional professional achievements of individuals and organizations from across the event industry and International Special Events Society membership.

  • What is the cost to enter the Awards?

    FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS
    The Award submissions cost $75.00 USD per entrant per entry submission until May 20th 201611:59pm EST.  Submissions received between May 21, 2016 at 12:00am EST and May 27, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST cost $95.00 USD per entrant per entry.
     

    FOR NON MEMBERS
    The Awards submissions cost $125:00 USD per entrant per entry submission until May 20th 2016 11:59pm EST. Submissions received between May 21, 2016 at 12:00am EST and May 27, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST cost $145:00 USD per entrant per entry.

  • Who can enter the awards?

    Any ISES member in good standing on or before May 13, 2016 is eligible to enter the Awards competition.

  • What are the most common reasons for disqualification?

    Entrant names or company names and logos, included in an entry is the biggest cause for entry disqualification.  In close second, an entrant failing to complete the budget or not including budget items outlined in the instructions.

  • How do I enter?

    All entries are prepared and submitted via ISES’ online awards portal.  The online system can be accessed by ISES members through their ISES membership accounts.

  • Will my Entry information be shared?

    No, only the two representative photos will be used for promotional purposes.  Award judges will view your entry content, but have no means to distribute the material.

  • Why should I enter?

    Awards help to increase your ability to influence others, gain recognition for your talents and strengthen your personal brand while vastly improving your chances for success. The Awards are a catalyst for personal potential and professional growth. You'll have the recognition platform to earn company and client acknowledgement, increase marketability, gain media access, and receive events industry buzz about you and your company!
  • What Events can I enter?

    Any event, event component or event concept that occurred between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.  Visit the categories tab to determine the best category for your event.

  • Who Judges the Awards?

    Highly qualified ISES leaders and creative event professionals with a broad range of experience and specialization from around the world serve as judges. The Awards online judging system was configured to guarantee the entire awards system is completely anonymous. 
  • What is the submission deadline date?

    All completed entries including payment must be submitted on or before May 27, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST. Submissions received between May 21, 2015 at 12:00am EST and May 13, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST will incur an additional $20 fee per entrant.
