ENTRY RULES

The Texas Star Awards rules is a list of all entry guide is a complete walk-through of the online awards system.  Open or print the entry guide for additional instructions while completing an entry. Recommended Disqualifications are suggested disqualifications by entry judges.  An entry judge's recommended disqualifications are reviewed by ILEA Dallas to determine whether a violation actually occurred.  No entrant will be notified of a their scores or the judges that reviewed their entry(s).  If an entry is disqualified, entrant's will be notified of the competition violations.  Click on the links below for disqualification information.

  • What are the Texas Star Awards?

    The Texas Star Awards, is a statewide recognized awards competition designed to and honor the exceptional professional achievements of individuals and organizations from the events industry.

  • What is the cost to enter the Awards?

    The Texas Star Awards cost $75.00 USD per entrant per entry submission until January 12, 2018 11:59 CST.  Submissions received between January 12, 2018 at 12:00am CST and January 19th, 2018 at 11:59 pm CST cost $100.00 USD per entrant per entry.

  • Who can enter the awards?

    Any person working in the events industry is eligible to enter the Texas Star Awards competition.

  • What are the most common reasons for disqualification?

    Entrant names or company names and logos, included in an entry is the biggest cause for entry disqualification.  In close second, an entrant failing to complete the budget or not including budget items outlined in the instructions.

  • How do I enter?

    All entries are prepared and submitted via TSA’s online awards portal.  

  • Will my Entry information be shared?

    No, only the two representative photos will be used for promotional purposes.  Award judges will view your entry content, but have no means to distribute the material.

  • Why should I enter the Texas Star Awards?

    Awards help to increase your ability to influence others, gain recognition for your talents and strengthen your personal brand while vastly improving your chances for success. The Texas Star Awards are a catalyst for personal potential and professional growth. You'll have the recognition platform to earn company and client acknowledgement, increase marketability, gain media access, and receive events industry buzz about you and your company!
  • What Events can I enter?

    Any event, event component or event concept that occurred between November 1, 2015 and October 31, 2016.  Visit the categories tab to determine the best category for your event.

  • Who Judges the Awards?

    Highly qualified ILEA leaders and creative event professionals with a broad range of experience and specialization from around the world serve as judges. The Texas Star Awards online judging system was configured to guarantee the entire awards system is completely anonymous. 
  • What is the submission deadline date?

    All completed entries including payment must be submitted on or before January 12, 2018 at 11:59 pm CST. Submissions received between January 13, 2018 at 12:00am CST and January 19, 2018 at 11:59 pm CST will incur an additional $25 fee per entrant.
