The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication recognize North Carolina-based public relations and communication professionals for the highest level of professional achievement.
The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication highlight PR campaigns and tactics that demonstrate excellence in research, planning, implementation and evaluation, as well as individuals and teams who have shown great commitment to the profession. Award excellence is gauged on a variety of categories and judged by an independent panel of judges.
Our independent judging process ensures submissions are evaluated on campaign success and the value it has brought to the public relations profession. Awards levels are based on a 100 point system and evaluated on the summary and supporting documents. Visit the Judging Criteria page for more details.
The Watt Huntley Award for Lifetime Achievement is the Raleigh Public Relations Society’s highest honor and is presented to an individual who has made lasting and meaningful contributions to the field of public relations over the course of a career. The Society also recognizes a PR Team and a PR Professional of the Year.

Entry Summary files must be .pdf and smaller than 5Mb.
You are requried to provide at least one supporting material and can upload up to 10 supporting files. The maximum file size for supporting materials is 50Mb per file. If you have larger files, please post them to an accessible location (such as YouTube) and include a link. Up to three links are supported.
Deadlines
The absolute last day to submit an entry is Friday, August 17, 2018 (late deadline) at 11:59 p.m. EST. See Rules tab for complete entry deadlines.
Awards Ceremony
The winners of the 2018 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence will be announced during the annual Raleigh Public Relations Society Banquet in October. Details will be announced on the RPRS Events page.
Payments
The Raleigh Public Relations Society only accepts credit card payment for the Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication. Checks are not accepted and all registration fees are non-refundable.
