Rules for the MHI Member Company of the Year Awards:

The process for the Company of the Year awards consists of two parts.

Part One:

A representative from each MHI member company will be able to log in to the online system to enter their company for the award category for which they are eligible and will be able to upload their entry information (see required information below). 

• You must enter your company and submit your entry information in order to be placed on the ballot for the second phase. Only those companies that enter and provide the required information will be placed on the ballot to be considered for an award. 
• The deadline to submit this information is March 9, 2018.

Each category has specific submission requirements as shown below. The questions should be answered in a file you will upload such as a pdf, word document, Powerpoint presentation, etc.  For the upload in each category at least one file is required with a maximum of five files. Files may not be larger than 100 MB. 
 

Floor Plan Lender of the Year, Regional Lender of the Year and National Lender of the Year

• How has the company in the past year contributed to the overall well-being of the industry
• Has the company demonstrated a high degree of innovation?
• Has the company shown an exceptional response to customer/consumer needs?
• Has the company been actively involved with MHI and its state manufactured housing association(s)?
• Is the company known for its prudent lending practices?
• Has the company demonstrated a commitment to ethical business practices?

Manufacturer of the Year – Two Plants or Less and Manufacturer of the Year – Three Plants or More

• Notable achievements in producing manufactured housing during the past year.
• Has the company demonstrated a high degree of innovation?
• Has the company shown an exceptional response to customer/consumer needs?
• Notable contributions the company has made to the industry in the past year through association involvement with MHI and the state manufactured housing association(s)?
• Recognitions, Honors and Awards that the company has received in the past year.

Manufactured Home Community Operator of the Year

• How has the company in the past year contributed to the overall well-being of the industry?
• Has the company demonstrated a high degree of innovation?
• What does the company do that differentiates itself from competitors?
• Has the company shown an exceptional response to customer/consumer needs?
• Has the company been actively involved with MHI and its state manufactured housing association(s)? Is there a history of involvement?

Manufactured Home Community Lender of the Year

• How has the company in the past year contributed to the overall well-being of the industry?
• Has the company demonstrated a high degree of innovation?
• What does the company do that differentiates itself from competitors?
• Has the company shown an exceptional response to customer/consumer needs?
• Has the company been actively involved with MHI and its state manufactured housing association(s)?

Manufactured Home Community Broker/Supplier of the Year

• How has the company in the past year contributed to the overall well-being of the industry?
• Has the company demonstrated a high degree of innovation?
• What does the company do that differentiates itself from competitors?
• Has the company shown an exceptional response to customer/consumer needs?
• Has the company been actively involved with MHI and its state manufactured housing association(s)?

Supplier of the year:

• How has the company in the past year contributed to the overall well-being of the industry?
• Has the company demonstrated a high degree of innovation?
• Has the company shown an exceptional response to customer/consumer needs?
• Has the company been actively involved with MHI and the state manufactured housing association(s)?

Part Two:

The voting process which will take place in March.  MHI certified representatives will receive another email when it is time for the voting to determine the award winners.  Only MHI certified representatives can vote.  The voting will also be done through the online system.
