The Manufactured Housing Institute is the only national trade organization representing the entire industry for factory-built to manufactured housing. Its members come from all sectors of the manufactured and modular housing industries and include builders, lenders, home retailers, community owners and managers, suppliers, 50 affiliated state organizations and others associated with the industry. MHI members are responsible for more than 85 percent of the homes produced each year.

The organization is a trusted, partner, advocate, and industry leader that provides its members with a comprehensive range of educational, operational, networking, and advocacy resources they need to learn and succeed.  Manufactured housing is an important source of affordable housing for 22 million households across the country. The factory-built housing industry produces about 90,000 homes a year and contributes around $2.6 billion to the U.S. economy.  Members of the manufactured and modular housing industries are recognized at the National Congress and Expo for leading the way in providing outstanding products, customer service, creative solutions, and state of the art homes for today’s homebuyers.
