The Michigan Office of Credit Unions invites you to participate in our 2016 annual conference Wednesday, October 12, 2016.  This year’s conference will cover a variety of topics include presentations concerning Cybersecurity by Mark Solomon of the Greenwich Police Department, Financial Crimes Task Force,  a Fraud Discussion Heather Funsch, Jessica Dore and Bill Edwards of Rehmann Robson, ALM by Charley McQueen, and a Legislative and Regulatory Update by Brian Knight of NASCUS.  We will also feature presentations by Director Pat McPharlin, John Kolhoff, and other DIFS personnel.  Industry attorney Chuck Holzman will facilitate a discussion concerning current industry issues.  The event will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort in Traverse City beginning with breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by individual sessions beginning at 9.  A group lunch will be provided.

This event encourages participation by industry officials with the regulator based upon their interests and job responsibilities.  The Industry Day Forum is designed so Michigan examiners and industry participants can dialogue side by side on important issues impacting the credit union industry including: discussions on cybersecurity, a regulatory roundtable, legislative/regulatory updates and additional topics of interest discovered during the conversation.  The fee for Michigan Industry Day is $99 for NASCUS members and $129 for non-members.
